Most shows start promptly at the advertised time. There are times when the room is very full, and unfortunately we cannot guarantee a seat per ticket purchase. GENERAL ADMISSION SEATING IS ON A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS. We encourage you to take advantage of all show types. All scenarios can be an extremely enjoyable and make for an entertaining, emotional, and sometimes magical, experience. Some prefer the quiet intimacy of a seated audience, and some want the audience up close, participating, and occasionally dancing. This is determined by the performers prior to the show, sometimes not until their arrival.

THE MUSE BAR FULL
From our own Carolinas’ music scene to performers from all corners of the globe, an amazing array of artists have graced our stage: from acoustic music to full electric bands alternative, Americana, blues, country, folk, hip-hop, jazz, pop, reggae, rock, r&b – and where it all begins, with the songwriter. Our restored barns at Valley View also host weddings and events year around. The Evening Muse opened in April of 2001 and thanks to the music-lovin’ citizens of Charlotte and venturous visitors to our fair city, the Muse has had the opportunity to present literally thousands of original independent music acts and performing artists since opening. Valley View Farm, our home, is a diversified orchard and farm that produces maple, eggs, hay, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and herbs for our specialty crafted cocktails. We are especially excited to bring back to life 50 of the original 7,000 trees and are constantly adding to the orchard heirloom varieties. Cyrus believed that apple production should be the cornerstone of New England agriculture. Students visited the farm to learn his orcharding practices from far and wide.

Miller’s orcharding advice was widely sought-after and as a result of his consultation work became what was the influential “School of Orcharding” which proved to be instrumental in the production of fruit in the region. An expert of every phase of apple culture, Miller and his father planted over 7,000 trees - most of which were Baldwin apple trees - in the 1800’s on the farm.
